We are Mantled for Revival

About Us

Who We Are

Our mission is to develop a place and atmosphere where God's manifest presence changes and transforms your life. Join us online or in person.

Presence Culture Church is a Spirit-filled community committed to cultivating a culture where God’s presence is welcomed, honored, and experienced. We believe lives are radically transformed when people encounter the manifest presence of Jesus, when Biblical truth is unapologetically proclaimed, when the Holy Spirit empowers us to live on mission and when the lost are called to repentance.

We exist to give Jesus the room through passionate worship, biblical teaching, and deep relationships—where people from all walks of life can belong, grow, and be sent.

The Mission

Our driving purpose is to be a life transforming church that is presence centered, prayer driven, Spirit empowered and harvest focused for the purpose of carrying revival to coastal North Carolina.

For us, church is simple. It's about the ONE THING-the life-changing presence of Jesus. Nothing transforms a life better or faster than the presence of Jesus sweeping into someone's heart and life.

We are committed to raw, real, passionate encounters with God. Whether it's worshipping together, praying together, studying Scripture together or just playing together, we are contending for a generation of worshipping, praying, radical firebrands who want to see the kingdom of God advanced on earth.

The Vision

Our vision is to be an Acts 2 church and we believe God's Biblical blueprint is crystal clear.

We envision a church committed to stewarding intimate and deep personal and corporate encounters with the Lord.

We envision a church that fully devotes themselves to prayer. We don't just pray prayers, we pull on heaven.

We envision a church that walks in unity of purpose and mission-with the same fire, same passion, same power the early church walked in. (Homothumadon)

We envision a church that connects in deep and intimate Biblical fellowship with one another (Koinonia)

We envision a church devoted to deep discipleship and the reading, study and application of God's Word and Christian doctrine.

We envision a church devoted to reaching lost, broken and religious  people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What if there was a church where...............

As a presence centered house, we understand that making time and space for God to move is critical to encountering Him. Man-made timeframes are inherently limiting.

A prayer-less church is a powerless, presence-less church

There's nothing wrong with programs but His presence is the priority- our One thing.

The altar will always be the place of God's divine intersection with mankind.

The Word of God is our plumbline. When we stray from the Scripture, we lose the anchor that keeps us moored in God's truth.

We understand that our secret place with the Lord Monday through Saturday will always determine the power of our corporate gathering on Sunday.

The Acts 2 model of discipleship remains God's blueprint for what should be considered normal Christian life. Surrender without obedience isn't deep discipleship. God calls us to obedience.

What if there was a church where...............

We realize that complacency is always the enemy of passion. Passion isn't an emotion, it's a decision.

We see the Sunday morning as primarily for discipleship and the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.

We understand that advancing the kingdom of God is about reaching and developing real people and not just nickels and noses in the seats.

A part of the Acts blueprint is the healthy expression of all the gifts of the Spirit as they come alive and are activated within the Body of Christ for the edification of the saints to the glory of God.

When we practice Biblical generosity, we are stewarding the gifts that God has already given us. Everything we have and are is from Him, by Him, and for Him!

The church isn't here to serve us, we are here to serve God's church. This fundamental shift changes the way we approach ministry. It's not a menu of ministry we consumer, it's a life of sacrifice and service for the cause of the kingdom.

Everyone has a different definition of what revival is but it's not a marketing strategy to acquire more notoriety or greater wealth, it's simply the breath of the Almighty breathing on us again and again making us more like Him.

Leadership

Our Beliefs

Presence Culture Church believes the foundational truths taught in the Bible. We are a sovereign Pentecostal church with a high view of Scripture as the inerrant(without error) and infallible(unfailing) Word of God. We hold these truths to be essential and distinctly Christian, seeking to uphold them in word and action. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.

Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.

Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

BAPTISM IN WATER
The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

HOLY COMMUNION
The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements --bread and the fruit of the vine-- is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4 [KJV/NIV]), a memorial of his suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26 [KJV/NIV]), and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26 [KJV/NIV]), and is enjoined on all believers "till He come!"

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.

The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.

Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.

The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven.

A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in evangelizing the world, worship of God, building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son, and meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion.

Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.

The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

"We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness."

Our Story

How it all started...

How it all started...

Pastor Mark met his amazing wife Debra in 1991 at Northwest College of the Assemblies of God. With stops in Washington, New Jersey, Oregon and most recently, California, Pastor Mark and his family have served in vocational ministry for over 30 years. Raised in the church all of their lives, Pastor Mark and Debbie were transformed early in their ministry by the fires of revival. Hungering for an authentic outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the McBride's long to see the church embrace its mission to makes disciples, to see the kingdom of God become a present reality and for the spark of revival to be ignited in America and around the world.

In February of 2025, Pastor Mark and Debbie visited dear friends in Wilmington NC and quickly fell in love with the area with all of its coastal beauty and beaches and after 12 years as Lead Pastor's in the Bay area of California, they sensed their assignment might be changing. After months of seeking the Lord in prayer, wrestling over their future and what life would be like elsewhere, they felt a clear call from the Lord to plant a church in coastal North Carolina.

So in the fall of 2025, they left California, they left their jobs, they left friends and they left their church behind and took the biggest leap of faith they'd ever taken and came to Wilmington to plant a church. This was the genesis of Presence Culture Church. It was birthed in the heart of God and in the fires of revival.

Expanding the vision...

Expanding the vision...

As we embark on this huge journey of faith, we are excited about what God is speaking and we believe that God is already at work in hearts. We believe that we are called to be a revival center, a regional house of prayer and an apostolic outpost in coastal North Carolina. We don't hold to a particular model of church, we just aim to be a church for every person that is hungry to know God, every person that is hungry for a move of God regardless of religious background.

We believe God is calling us to be a catalyst for God breathed, Spirit empowered ministry that advances the agenda of heaven in demonstration and power. We view the Acts 2 church as God's blueprint for us to be empowered to accomplish the very powerful work of the kingdom.

Where we are headed...

Where we are headed...

We desire to be a church, not only for our city but for a region. We are contending for a move of God from Jacksonville to Wilmington that will change the spiritual climate of a region, spark transformation in the hearts of thousands and break the powers of darkness over coastal North Carolina.

We are believing for two things: revival and awakening. For us, revival isn't just a buzzword, it's our identity and it goes hand in hand with a much needed regional awakening that would see a multiplied harvest of souls. We intend to make a kingdom impact and we stake our claim on coastal North Carolina for Christ.
